About the Game
Face the Peril is a 3-6 player adult (18+) game that revolves around strategic card play, character management, and risk assessment. Build your character and get prepped for battle against sexually questionable threats as well as a few inanimate objects on the path to victory. In this game every card played matters, and you must read every card carefully. Face the Peril rewards careful planning, risk assessment, adaptive thinking, and occasional backstabbing. The ever-changing character builds offer entirely different approaches to gameplay and problem solving along the way.
Face the Peril combines adult themes and humor with the convenience of a card game. Featuring diverse character Races and Orientations, each game session offers unique challenges and storytelling opportunities. The cards present scenarios, obstacles, and supplies that require strategic management. Alongside playtesting, this game has undergone an extensive overhaul to refine mechanics, balance character items and abilities, and to keep the gameplay moving. Our Story
What started as a private project among friends has evolved into something unique. After years of play, this game has recently seen several months of reworking, additional playtesting, artwork development, and refinement, Face the Peril is ready for a public debut.
The journey hasn’t been easy – recreating each card in a new template for printing has been painstaking work. We’re proud to ultimately present a game that balances mature themes with strategic gameplay and a touch of absurdity.
